As a professional counselor, our business operates by appointment only, offering flexible scheduling options to accommodate the needs of our clients.
What types of services do you offer?
At Asbury Counseling, we specialize in individual counseling, marriage counseling, pre-marital counseling, and telehealth services. Our approach is primarily attachment-based, focusing on how past relationships impact current emotional well-being.
What conditions do you treat?
We treat a range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD. Our goal is to understand and address the underlying causes of these challenges.
How can I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment by visiting our website or calling us. We'll guide you through the process and ensure you get the help you need promptly.

The duration of therapy varies based on individual needs and goals. Some clients may benefit from a few sessions, while others may require ongoing support over several months.
Do you accept insurance?
We accept most private, commercial insurances, including: Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Humana (pending), UHC, Optum, Oscar, Medical Mutual, and Centivo and Medicare.
What type of payment methods do you accept?
We accept private pay and use a sliding-fee scale. Our rates for an initial mental health assessment is $100. Individual and marriage therapy is billed at $65/hour. We also accept HSA, FSA, and all major credit cards.
What if I need to see a psychiatrist?
If you request psychiatric care, we can facilitate a connection with a psychiatrist. Most clients can expect to schedule an appointment within the same week.
What can I expect during my first session?
Your first session will focus on understanding your background, current struggles, and therapy goals. We aim to create a safe environment where you feel comfortable engaging in open discussion.
Is telehealth an option for therapy?
Yes, we offer telehealth services, allowing you to receive care from the comfort of your home.
How is my private information protected?
We use Headway, Sondermind and Grow Therapy’s online EHR systems for your medical records. These platforms and databases encrypt client information in line with HIPAA best practices. These EHR systems also sign Business Associate Agreements (BAA) with other platforms that store PHI to ensure they also follow HIPAA compliance.
